The Siliken group of renewable energy companies has announced the opening of a Sales Office in Toronto to serve the Ontario market with their products from its other North American facility in San Diego, producing UL certified modules since 2008. First deliveries of orders are already underway, so the first Siliken Modules will arrive to Ontario this summer. Siliken’s contact details in Toronto are 1 Yonge Street, one of the most popular streets in North America, and the office will be managed by Carlos Arguedas, Sales Manager Canada, who has extensive experience in expanding the business and opening new international offices and subsidiaries of Siliken in new markets.
With the opening of this sales office, Siliken aims to reinforce its sales presence in this new market, that is going to be one of the main targets of the European company over the next years. This is a step forward in Siliken’s plans to open a PV module manufacturing plant in Ontario, and meet Domestic Requirement for 2011. With an initial production capacity of 50 MW, this factory could start operations in the first quarter of 2011. Siliken is completing the choice of location and the necessary legal paperwork in order to set this plant in motion. The production plant will create approximately 150 direct jobs in Ontario.
Siliken is one of the most prestigious modules manufacturers in Europe and one of the most agile in starting new production installations, as it designs and produces its own machinery. With this operation, the Siliken group will strengthen its current international business presence, operating in Spain, Italy, France, Germany, Czech Republic, Greece, Belgium, the Netherlands and the United States. It will also increase its production capacity from current 250 MW in Valencia and San Diego.
